Friday morning... My boss wants us to have a 1 on 1 to discuss the implications of the previous day's meeting.

Could go either way mate, could be the Spanish Archer or indeed a sweep up to see how you feel about your new role....
If it were really bad, wouldn't it be the case that those affected would be told individually first before a 'group meeting'?

And No, the telling people individually doesn't seem popular right now!
