Well I think with the baby coming it is time to splash out on a new toy (for me - not the baby)!
I think I'm going to buy one of these.
I can get one for about £250 online, as opposed to £300 from Dixons.

Oh you have to go for the one that uses the mini-DVDR version. You've just got to stay completely digital on disc.
Bought the MiniDV version for £230 online.
The problem with the DVD versions is that they start at about £500!
The Digital Tapes are rather good. I can trasfer via Firewire to PC and edit and reauthor to DVD from there.
Yeah that sounds like a good idea to be sure....
